CrossFit Amend January Newsletter
2019 is over, welcome 2020! Whether or not you make resolutions, it’s a great time of year for new goals! We had a great 2019 at Amend, and are looking forward to this new decade! This year we have gained new members and coaches and said good-bye to Coach Tera as she embarks on a new adventure in Atlanta, had a blast with CrossFit Kids (keep an eye on or FB page for information on when this will start back up!), crushed goals and competitions, had a great time with 2 Opens and our Amend Intramural competition, stepped out of our comfort zones, and become healthier and stronger. For some of you it’s been a rough year, for others it’s been the best of your lives so far. All of us at CrossFit Amend love that we can be involved in your lives through the happy times and not so happy times. Community is important, and the support we give and receive from each other is priceless. We all have ups and downs and we strive to always be a part of your ‘ups’ and be there for you through the ‘downs’!
For those of you with New Year/New You goals who are looking to start CrossFit, you need to check out our January On-Ramp class! Classes begin Monday, January 6th and will run for 4 weeks on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week at 6:30pm. Contact us through FB Messenger or email Coach Rob at firstname.lastname@example.org about securing a spot for this cycle!
There will be no classes on New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1st. Regular classes will resume January 2nd. Regular classes are M-F 5:30am, 6:15am, 8:30am, 4:30pm, 5:30pm, 6:30pm (except Fridays...there is no 6:30pm). SWEAT classes are M, W, F at 5am. Open gym runs on Saturdays from 9am-11am. We love our coaches, and really appreciate the hard work they put in to make sure classes run safely and efficiently. Our excellent coaching staff consists of Rob Luther (owner), Jess Alexander, R.J. Tinsely, Brandon Nevarez, and Rachel Stone. Be sure to give them a sweet high five and let them know they’re doing a great job!
There will be an InBody Scan by Elizabeth Cheek of Molt, Inc. sometime this month. Keep an eye on our FB page for details! This is a great way to see your body composition of muscle vs. fat so you can adjust your nutrition and get your health goals in check.
We love our Triib! Please download the app and be sure to check in to each class and log your workouts! The kiosk at the front desk currently has an iPad for you to check in to classes when you arrive if you do not have your phone with you. You can also ask your coach to check you in!
